Description :Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates •Up to $4,000 Sign-On Bonus • Up to 40 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off • Up to $3,000 Relocation bonus Job Summary – Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/MT) Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist perform tests on blood and body fluids to determine the presence or absence of disease, monitor response to treatment and aid in health maintenance. Provides guidance and oversight to other testing personnel with lesser credentials. Responsible to troubleshoot and address instrument issues and recognize need for service. Responsible to use critical thinking and clinical knowledge to assess questionable results and correlate with clinical information to determine accuracy. Job Requirements EducationRequired: Bachelor's Degree must be obtained within 90 days OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND Grandfathered status under CLIA RegulationsPreferred: Completion of a medical technology program ExperienceN/A SkillsStrong analytical/problem solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management. Demonstrates clear verbal and written communicationExcellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.Knowledge of current information technology and an ability to lead project teams to accomplish automation projects of large size and complexity.Proficient in all Microsoft programs; high level proficiency in Excel. Licensure/Certification/RegistrationRequired: Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist from either American Medical Technology (AMT), American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), or American Society of Clinical Pathologist – International (ASCPi). Job Summary – Medical Lab Technician (MLT) Laboratory Technicians perform tests on blood and body fluids to determine the presence or absence of disease, monitor response to treatment and aid in health maintenance (with the assistance of Medical Technologists/Medical Laboratory Scientists). Identifies and interprets test results and reports to the appropriate clinician. Job Requirements EducationRequired: Associates Degree OR completion of an accredited MLT Program ExperiencePreferred: 1 Year experience in a laboratory SkillsStrong analytical/problem solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management. Demonstrates clear verbal and written communicationExcellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills. Licensure/Certification/RegistrationRequired: Certified as a Medical Lab Technician from a nationally recognized laboratory certifying agency or eligible to sit for exam at time of hire; must obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
