APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Fort Wayne, IN looking to add a Medical Polisher to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be polishing, buffing, and finishing metal components for medical devices to ensure they meet high quality and safety standards. Think this sounds like you? What your day will look like:
- Polish and finish metal components for medical devices using tools like grinders, buffers, and hand-finishing equipment.
- Inspect parts for defects, rough surfaces, or imperfections, ensuring compliance with both industry and company standards.
- Maintain, clean, and ensure the proper functioning of polishing equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance teams to resolve finishing issues and continuously improve processes.
- Adhere to strict quality control procedures to meet medical-grade surface finish specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate finishing based on specifications.
- Follow all safety guidelines and consistently wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in metal polishing within the medical field required
- Proficient in using polishing and finishing tools such as rotary buffers, abrasives, and grinding machines.
- Knowledge of metal properties, surface preparation, and finishing techniques.
