We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic psychiatry practice in Albany, New York. In this role, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the front office by managing patient interactions, scheduling, and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about supporting mental health care in a fast-paced and compassionate environment.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients warmly and ensure a seamless check-in process.
• Handle incoming calls professionally, including scheduling appointments and confirming bookings.
• Verify insurance details and assist patients with billing inquiries.
• Conduct appointment reminder calls to ensure timely attendance.
• Process copayments and support billing operations efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation.
• Assist with administering Spravato/Ketamine treatments under clinical guidance.
• Perform testing and other related procedures as required.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance patient care delivery.
• Execute additional clerical tasks to support the practice's daily operations.• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks software is highly desirable.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A compassionate and meticulous demeanor is essential.
• Proficiency in technology and billing systems is required.
