The Medical Receptionist/Scheduler plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by ensuring that the front office operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records, which are essential for providing high-quality care. The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, creating a welcoming environment and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Additionally, this role involves coordinating with healthcare providers and administrative staff to facilitate seamless communication and workflow. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in medical office administration or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule new patients for all locations.
  • Schedule/authorize radiology appointments.
  • Schedule referrals.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits.
  • Maintain and update patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Handle phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services.
  • Process patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
