We are hiring!! Competitive pay! Ambassador Personnel is seeking an experienced Microprocessor Technician to join our team!


Job Summary:

The Microprocessor/Electronics Technician is responsible for the hands-on maintenance, repair, and testing of microprocessors, integrated circuits, and related electronic systems on all plant equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electronic theory, exceptional diagnostic skills, and meticulous attention to detail. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a team of engineers and operators to ensure the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities:

Electrically troubleshoot all plant equipment.

Train CET's and continuously mentor CET's.

Assist CET's as needed. Assist in scheduling rotation CET positions and fill in for associates when needed.

Maintain auxiliary equipment as assigned.

Identify and implement cost savings projects, including repairing electronic equipment and finding alternate vendors for electronic equipment.

Manage the boards-repaired-by-vendor process.


The microprocessor should have the following qualifications:

  • 2 years of electrical, electronics, or electro-mechanical degree from an accredited school or a demonstrated equivalent.
  • Possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Be able to read and understand P&ID and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to size conductors as well as install rigid or flexible conduit associated with field instrumentation installations.
  • Basic understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLC’s and the I/O’s that interface with the field instrumentation.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and be capable of using industrial motorized equipment, including lift trucks, boom lifts, etc.
  • Have a basic knowledge of industrial processes to include drive systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.

Associate must be available to work an 8- to 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends. Multiple pay levels based upon experience and job service.

Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools typically found in carpet/non-woven yarn production or a related industry.

Proven manufacturing experience is typically developed through previous experience.

2-YEAR ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY DEGREE
