Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a mid-level associate with strong experience in corporate governance and shareholder activism. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior partners on high-stakes matters, contribute to the shareholder activism team, and develop and maintain client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:Advise clients on shareholder activism and corporate governance matters.
Collaborate with senior partners on high-profile campaigns and transactions.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the shareholder activism practice.
Manage and strengthen client relationships through effective communication and execution.
JD or equivalent.
Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (New York preferred) and in good standing.
Demonstrated expertise in securities law, corporate governance, and shareholder activism.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
Ability to operate independently and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-functional deal teams.
