Mid-Level Immigration Attorney (Hybrid – New Jersey)

Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Mid-Level Immigration Attorney to join its New Jersey office. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while leveraging the resources of a global law firm in a collegial and collaborative culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on business immigration matters, including nonimmigrant (H1B, L-1, TN, O1, etc.) and immigrant visa petitions as well as PERM applications.

  • Provide counsel and representation in I-9 compliance matters, Department of Labor (DOL), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Justice (DOJ) audits.

  • Manage a large caseload of immigration matters with efficiency and attention to detail.

  • Deliver superior client service through regular communication and case updates.

  • Draft, review, and analyze complex petitions, applications, and compliance documentation.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and professionals to develop strategies for clients’ immigration needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of business immigration law experience.

  • Extensive experience with I-9 compliance, audits, and employment-based petitions.

  • Strong organizational, case management, and productivity skills.

  • Advanced legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Experience managing a large client base preferred.

  • JD from an accredited law school; active Bar membership required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 (commensurate with experience and location).
