Mid-Level Real Estate Development Associate Attorney at Direct Counsel

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Real Estate Development Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join a Band 1-ranked Real Estate practice at a prestigious Am Law firm in New York.

This is a high-impact opportunity for associates who want meaningful deal responsibility, client-facing visibility, and the ability to work directly on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.

Key Areas of Experience:

Candidates should have hands-on involvement in:

• Real estate acquisitions and dispositions

• Joint venture structuring and negotiation

• Borrower-side finance transactions

• Commercial development deals

You will take a leading role in drafting and negotiating core transactional agreements, including joint venture agreements and loan documents.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of real estate transactional or development experience at a law firm

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with main-document responsibility

• Excellent academic credentials

• Admission to the New York Bar required

Compensation:

• $260,000 – $365,000 annual base salary, depending on experience, plus market-aligned bonuses
