Job Description
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for providing case management to support student success in developmental courses, along with student transition to and success in post-secondary courses.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide case management services such as: developing and offering orientations, administering assessments, conducting academic interviews, creating academic plans, monitoring student progress, and providing interventions and connecting students with resources as needed.
- Develop and offer orientations helping students learn about their options for completing developmental education and about available services.
- Enhance accuracy of course placement and support successful course completion by creating academic plans with students in collaboration with appropriate college resources. Administer assessments and conduct student academic interviews to inform creation of plans.
- Monitor student progress and provide needed interventions in collaboration with college resources. Refer students to appropriate resources as needed.
- Collaborate regularly with instructors, the Office of Student Accessibility, advisors, and counselors to refine processes promoting student success.
- Develop and use tools and processes to enter data, create reports, track activity, for grant accountability, and to promote retention, transition to target postsecondary courses, and course success.
- Collect feedback, formally and informally from stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to organize and coordinate projects to meet goals and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including group presentations.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with multiple diverse constituencies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field, Master’s degree preferred
- Two years of advising experience in higher education, such as teaching, advising, career planning, placement services and/or case management
- Experience working with students needing academic support
The Navigator-Student Life (Limited Termed Employment-LTE) position supports the Student Life department and is available to start on January 5th, 2026.This is a limited-term, grant-funded position through June 30, 2026. Work is in person on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Position is benefits eligible.
