About this Position:

Lead, create, and implement innovative quality assurance activities and solutions that support Business Plan, New Model, and Mass Production initiatives to meet or exceed Safety, Environmental, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SEQDCM) targets

 

Responsibilities include:
• Lead in-depth analysis of complex concerns related to quality
• Lead daily quality issue analysis, set direction, and support resolution of concerns as they arise
• Provide leadership to quality team members with honest, fair, and consistent treatment and communication that aligns with the Honda Philosophy
• Develop skills and expertise in all aspects of quality assurance to fully understand process and equipment requirements
• Design concepts and equipment solution methods based on PDCA analysis, Business Plan, or New Model project requirements
• Create and implement quality assurance methods to meet technical requirements of continuous improvement and project initiatives
• Support quality and process activity plans for equipment confirmations to minimize production impact
• Plan and organize continuous improvement activities to drive down costs, improve efficiencies, and optimize quality assurance processe

 

Who we are seeking

Required Education:

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering 

Required Experience:

  • 8 or more years of relevant experience depending on education level
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills; high technical knowledge in manufacturing; strong problem-solving and communication skills

 

Decision Expected:

  • Lead complex analysis activities to achieve safety, quality, and production targets
  • Lead quality analysis and collaborate with internal/external customers to countermeasure concerns while maintaining production
  • Determine development and training needs for quality and staff associates

 

Additional Position Factors:

Work is performed in an office, manufacturing floor, and/or quality lab environment. Must be able to perform physical job functions within Honda ergonomic guidelines. Occasional domestic and international travel required for training or equipment confirmations. Overtime (5–10 hours typical weekly) may increase based on project demands or equipment downtime.
