We are looking for a motivated Office Assistant to support operations during a financial services event in Palo Alto, California. This contract position requires someone with strong sales experience, excellent communication abilities, and a general understanding of financial services. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth event experience, engaging with attendees, and promoting business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Represent the organization at the event, building meaningful connections with attendees and promoting services effectively.
• Assist with event logistics such as managing registration and providing attendees with detailed information about the organization.
• Leverage sales skills to identify potential leads and initiate discussions about financial services solutions.
• Offer knowledgeable support on financial services topics, addressing attendee inquiries with professionalism.
• Collaborate with the event team to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional experience for all participants.
• Handle receptionist duties during the event, including greeting attendees and directing them to the appropriate resources.
• Perform clerical tasks such as scanning documents and maintaining accurate records.
• Respond to inbound calls and inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
• Support networking activities and foster business development opportunities.
• Ensure all event-related tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.• At least 2 years of proven sales experience, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of financial services, including industry trends and common products.
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced event setting.
• Detail-oriented approach and customer-focused mindset, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
• Experience in clerical tasks such as scanning and document management.
• Proficiency in handling receptionist duties, including answering calls and greeting clients.
