Job Description

About Us

We’re a growing hospitality group rooted in craftsmanship, community, and collaboration. From our wholesale bakery and café concepts to retail and event operations, we’re dedicated to creating thoughtful experiences centered around quality, consistency, and connection.

We’re seeking an Operations Manager to help strengthen internal systems, maintain high service and product standards, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across multiple units — including our bakery production and wholesale division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, organization, and elevating both the guest and team experience through operational excellence.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee and optimize systems across front-of-house, back-of-house, and wholesale operations. This includes developing SOPs, managing purchasing and vendor relationships, and ensuring the highest level of quality and consistency in both bakery production and hospitality settings. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who understands both the creative and logistical sides of a growing food and beverage business.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Systems & SOPs

  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across cafés, restaurants, and bakery wholesale operations.
  • Audit workflows regularly to improve efficiency, communication, and consistency between production, wholesale, and service teams.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure all team members understand and uphold operational standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for safety procedures, delivery protocols, and production workflows.

Purchasing & Vendor Management

  • Oversee purchasing for FOH, BOH, and bakery production, including ingredients, packaging, and operational supplies.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, farmers, distributors, and packaging suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, reliability, and quality.
  • Collaborate with bakery leadership and chefs to manage par levels, inventory systems, and production scheduling.
  • Coordinate ingredient sourcing and deliveries for wholesale clients, ensuring timely fulfillment and quality control.
  • Track all purchasing budgets and invoices in coordination with the accounting team.

Wholesale Operations & Quality Control

  • Work closely with the bakery wholesale team to ensure consistent product quality, packaging, and delivery standards.
  • Conduct routine quality checks on baked goods and packaging for wholesale partners.
  • Support the development of wholesale client SOPs, including ordering systems, labeling, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to align wholesale production capacity with client needs and sales forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, labeling, and distribution regulations.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Partner with Service Managers and Bakery Leads to align operational priorities and production schedules.
  • Support new product launches or menu changes by coordinating ingredient sourcing, pricing, and rollout logistics.
  • Act as a bridge between the wholesale bakery and café/retail teams to ensure smooth communication and product flow.
  • Assist in onboarding new managers and training staff on operational systems and standards.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Manage purchasing budgets, cost of goods, and inventory reports across all departments.
  • Maintain internal systems for inventory tracking, maintenance logs, and order management.
  • Generate weekly operational reports on labor efficiency, cost control, and vendor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all city, state, and health department regulations for production and retail operations.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in hospitality operations, bakery production, or multi-unit management.
  • Proven success developing and implementing SOPs across service and production teams.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, vendor relations, and cost management in food operations.
  • Familiarity with wholesale bakery production, distribution logistics, and B2B client management.
  • Proficiency with Toast POS, Google Workspace, and inventory management tools.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive leader with a passion for consistency, efficiency, and quality craftsmanship.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary (DOE)
  • Health benefits and paid time off
  • Staff meals and discounts across all concepts
  • Opportunities for growth within an expanding hospitality group
