Oven Room Scrapping/Cleaning Associate at Hughes Resources

Our customer in McHenry, Illinois is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Oven Room Scrapping / Cleaning Associate to work full-time on 1st shift. In this role, you’ll help ensure quality and cleanliness in the production process by preparing, cleaning, and maintaining electrical components used in manufacturing.

• Handle and process discarded or excess materials from production.
• Perform scraping, cleaning, and surface preparation of transformer cores, coils, housings, and related components.
• Remove excess materials, residue, and contaminants from manufactured parts to maintain product integrity.
• Inspect parts for defects, irregularities, or damage before and after cleaning.
• Use appropriate cleaning tools, solvents, and equipment according to company safety guidelines.
• Assist in preparing components for assembly, finishing, or testing processes.
• Maintain organized work areas and ensure proper labeling of cleaned and finished parts.
• Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and safety procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience using power and hand tools
• Ability to read blueprints; welding experience a plus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a hot, fast-paced environment

Pay: $19.00/hour

• Temp-to-perm job opportunity
• Weekly pay

Type: Full-time, 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, flexible hours (6:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:00 AM–4:30 PM) and Fridays for 4 hours
