Senior Panel Technicians – Local Candidates Only Location: Kennedy Space Center, FL Contract Duration: Through April 2026 Pay Rate: $30–$45/hour (based on experience) LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY – NO PER DIEM OFFERED We are seeking experienced Senior Panel Technicians to join our team supporting spaceflight system projects at Kennedy Space Center. This contract runs through April 2026 and requires candidates to be 100% on-site. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for fabricating, inspecting, and testing Ground Safety Equipment assemblies, panels, and racks that support critical spaceflight operations. Key Responsibilities Assemble, wire, and integrate complex electronic and pneumatic panels, racks, and subassemblies. Install and test avionic components such as PLCs, HMIs, relays, switches, and terminal blocks. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wire lists, and work orders to determine assembly sequence and required materials. Fabricate and route wire harnesses, including cutting, soldering, and crimping. Inspect, test, and verify assemblies for accuracy and functionality. Troubleshoot and repair panels or systems as needed. Support on-site integration and field harness installations. Follow all quality, safety, and documentation standards. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred. U.S. citizenship required. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Physically capable of field inspections and hands-on work (lifting up to 40 lbs., climbing ladders/scaffolding, etc.). Minimum of 3 years experience in panel assembly, wiring, or electromechanical systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications. Preferred Qualifications IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-620 certification. Familiarity with NASA-STD-8739, MIL-DTL-22520, or similar aerospace standards. Background in pneumatic, electrical, or electromechanical systems. 5–10 years of experience in panel fabrication, preferably in aerospace or similar industry. Technical training, trade school, or military experience is a plus. Schedule Day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Minimum 50-hour work week (includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
