Position Overview
Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter for a commercial construction project in Parma, OH. This role requires a well-rounded carpenter skilled in metal stud installation and rough framing. Candidates should have a solid background in commercial carpentry, the ability to work independently, and the flexibility to support various phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install metal studs for walls, partitions, and ceilings.
- Perform rough framing and other general carpentry tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with the site supervisor and team to maintain schedule and quality standards.
- Adhere to all site safety regulations and procedures.
Schedule
- Days: Monday Friday
- Hours: 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.
- Breaks: 9:30 a.m. (morning break) and 12:00 p.m. (lunch)
- Overtime: 40+ hours per week possible
Requirements
- Proven experience as a journeyman carpenter in commercial construction.
- Skilled in metal stud installation and rough framing.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints.
- Proficient with carpentry tools and equipment.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
