Position Summary
Job Description:
The Adjunct Biology Professor will teach Introductory Molecular Biology for undergraduate students. The instructor is responsible for providing high-quality, engaging lab instruction that promotes scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical laboratory skills. Other responsibilities include:
Instruct and supervise students in biology lab sessions according to established course objectives and departmental standards.Emphasize proper laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and the scientific method.Assess student performance through lab assignments, practical exams, and participation.Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure consistency and alignment of lab content with lecture courses.Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.Maintain compliance with all institutional, departmental, and safety policies.Outcome: Provide effective and engaging laboratory instruction that supports student learning of fundamental biological concepts, reinforces lecture material, and helps students develop essential laboratory and scientific reasoning skills.Essential Functions

Master’s degree or higher in Biology or a closely related field. Experience teaching or assisting in college-level biology labs preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety, and biological principles.Strong communication and organizational skills.Required Skills and Qualifications
