The Part-Time College Navigator creates and maintains relationships with community partners to enhance collaboration and maximize enrollment, internship opportunities and other activities to benefit student success. This position also serves as the main point of contact, resource, and mentor for new and returning students regarding admissions, financial aid, advisement, graduation, as well as transfer and/or workforce placement.

This is a grant funded position thru June 30, 2026, contingent upon grantor funding and grant extension.

What you will be doing
  • Develops, implements and promotes activities to engage potential students and inform them of academic offerings and intake procedures
  • Identifies and maintains external partnership opportunities with the community industry
  • Provides admissions, financial aid, advisement, and registration guidance to prospective and returning students
  • Researches and develops potential leads and completes follow up in order to increase campus enrollment
  • Develops and distributes marketing content for promotion of events, programs and campus
  • Facilitates transition of students to their respective academic advisors for services required for subsequent semesters
  • Coordinates with advisors and recruiters in student services to ensure consistency of information dissemination
  • Generates reports on student outcomes and other performance indicators
  • Monitors and tracks student progress through the enrollment process
  • Addresses student needs or challenges in response to early alert indicators and escalates student issues up the chain of supervision until resolved
  • Provides career and academic advisement support
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of related work experience
  • All degree should be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals, and objectives, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of admissions, financial aid, advisement, registration, transcripts, testing and other academic support services
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of student support programs and ability to make proper referrals
  • Knowledge and proficiency in computers, especially Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to case manage a large volume of students without losing sight of the individual
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact with diverse constituents and to provide high quality support and customer service to students
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with academic departments, faculty, staff, students, and local community
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative and responsibility for scheduling individual sessions with program participants
  • Ability to asses and provide recommendations for additional assistance as needed for student well-being
  • Ability to work flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
