- Location: Remote (based in the midwestern United States)
- Travel: Some travel to the construction site in Richmond, Indiana
- Work schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 10-20 hours per week
- Paid on a time and materials basis

Part-Time Construction Scheduler
The Construction Scheduler is responsible for the creation, maintenance and updating of the schedules of a greenfield biomanufacturing facility construction project in Richmond, Indiana. Tasks involve developing schedules, revisions of schedules, time keeping, document control, coordination with project team, and creating progress reports of the project. The role entails working closely with the construction management team, the client, LBI, construction Foremen, vendors, engineers, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule development:Create and manage detailed project schedules, from pre-construction through completion and commissioning, by breaking down the project into tasks and sequencing them appropriately.
- Resource and time management:Allocate resources efficiently and coordinate timelines to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
- Progress monitoring:Track project progress against the baseline schedule, often by receiving progress updates from individual contractors and visiting job sites to review the status.
- Risk and change management:Identify potential delays, analyze their impact, and develop contingency plans.Manage changes to the project scope and their effect on the schedule.
- Communication:Serve as a central point of contact for project teams, providing updates to management, contractors, and stakeholders and facilitating clear communication.
- Run and facilitate meetings: Schedule and facilitate meetings to update the construction schedule with stakeholders. Take actions and follow-up appropriately to ensure tasks and done on time.
- Other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Formal post-secondary education in Construction Management or Project Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Required knowledge and technical skills:
- Construction project scheduling
- Project controls
- Expert user of scheduling software (Primavera P6), MS Project Office, MS Excel
- WBS development and maintenance
- Resource management and leveling
- Earned value calculations
- Progress tracking and project reporting
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to learn new programs and systems, is required.
