Job Description

SMV Recruiting is actively looking for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to work for a 100+ year old manufacturer in Syracuse, NY. Our client is looking for a candidate with strong phone customer service, order entry, quotes/invoices, and light clerical tasks. You’ll assist customers, resolve inquiries with product expertise, and log data. This is a direct-hire, part-time (8 AM–12 PM), no OT, full benefits + PTO + 401(k) match. Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and customer support by answering incoming calls over the phone and via email
  • Support the sales, marketing and operations team by utilizing good organizational skills
  • Enter orders in the system along with important customer information
  • Prepare quotes, provide invoices, track order status's and follow up with customers promptly
  • Address customer inquiries using product knowledge when needed
  • File, scan, photo copy and enter documentation as needed and other clerical duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree is preferred in Business Administration or similar is preferred
  • 2-5+ years of customer service, sales or restaurant experience is strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Windows experience is required
  • 1+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience is strongly preferred
