Job Description:

Attend scheduled class to accompany rehearsals.
Help lead sectionals and warm-ups when required.
Provide accompaniment for dress rehearsals and performances.
Provide accompaniment for small group performances when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to play music selection of course instructor.
Must be able to play in all genres, styles, and keys appropriate to musical periods.
Must be proficient at sight reading, playing from lead sheet, and improvising.
Must be able to work successfully with the group and director.
Must be able to work well with guest performers, whether vocal or instrumental.
Must be willing to perform in many different venues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Transposing skills
Experience vocal accompanying specifically
Some knowledge of healthy singing standards and techniques
Familiarity with foreign languages
Broad knowledge of the vocal repertoire and traditions of different styles and genres
Willingness to work collaboratively with instructor and student to develop polished, coordinated performances for final recital.
