Pastry Cook at Scopa Italian Roots

Scopa Italian Roots is a growing company with a tight-knit team passionate about food, beverage, and service. We are seeking a diligent Pastry Cook to join our FeedFolks kitchen team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well in a team, and takes pride in producing high-quality pastry and dessert items.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock the pastry station with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
• Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, and other assigned items to chef’s specifications.
• Assist with sauces, garnishes, and components for plated desserts.
• Work in cooperation with the kitchen team to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
• Label, date, and store pastry items properly; maintain par levels.
• Clean and break down the pastry station; handle leftovers appropriately.
• Maintain accurate inventory of pastry products and supplies.
• Follow instructions from the executive chef, sous chef, or pastry chef.
• Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and nutrition standards.
• Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture.

Requirements

• 2-4 years professional pastry or cooking experience (pastry, restaurant, or prep).
• Strong knowledge of baking and pastry methods, ingredients, and equipment.
• Accuracy, consistency, and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand and move for extended periods of time (entire shift).
• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and food safety standards.
