Job Description
Please indicate if you are interested in opening or closing shifts. Opening begins at 5:00am, closing shifts begin at 6:00pm. Grand Brasserie is open every day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The restaurant is open daily from 5:30am - 2:00am.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to the highest standards.
- Assist in daily mise en place and production for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen.
- Follow recipes and plating guidelines consistently.
- Support inventory management and ordering as needed.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
- 4+ year of professional pastry experience preferred.
- Culinary or pastry school training, and/or line cook experience, is a plus.
- Experience with bread and croissant making is highly valued.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work early mornings or late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for pastry arts and hospitality.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Manual dexterity to handle knives, piping bags, and kitchen equipment safely.
- Ability to bend, reach, and stoop frequently.
- Ability to be exposed to hot and cold environments and common allergens.
