Please ask about our generous referral fees! A community hospital located within 45 miles of downtown Boston is seeking to recruit a full-time AP/CP trained pathologist. The hospital has 175 beds and conducts clinical laboratory tests, including surgical pathology and cytopathology specimens, serving a contemporary suburban community. Position Overview Responsibilities include general surgical pathology sign-out as well as oversight of the hospitals clinical laboratories.Join a department with three full-time pathologists, a Pathologist Assistant, and a grossing tech.No autopsies are performed.Surgical specimen volume is approximately 13,000 cases per year, with an additional 5,000 gynecologic cytology specimens and 1,000 non-gynecologic specimens, including occasional rapid on-site evaluations.Pathologists participate in clinical consults involving peripheral blood smear evaluation and blood bank serology.Active involvement in general surgical and breast cancer conferences.Rotating call schedule: approximately one week in every four. Qualifications MD or DO degree required.Board certification/eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.Must qualify for a Massachusetts medical license.Seeking candidates with excellence in surgical pathology and a commitment to diagnostic quality.
