Patient Account Representative

Be part of our local medical community! Immediate need for a Patient Account Rep to work at local clinic in Rockford. Responsible for medical billing, including remittance and collections.

Hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Mon-Fri

Pay: $15.58/hour

Patient Account Rep Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter payments, adjustments, patient demographics and insurance information

• Collect data for routine reporting and publication of Accounts Receivable

• Manage Accounts Receivable and collection percentages

• Accomplish projects as a team member or individual as assigned

• Perform other duties as may be assigned

Patient Account Rep Requirements:

• Ability to follow-through, assume responsibility and use good judgment

• Maintain professional demeanor under stressful situations

• Ability to work professionally with patients, their families and friends, and fellow employees

• Good oral and written communication

• Strong computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Scheduler)

• CPT and ICD9 terminology

• HIPAA, Medicare/FQHC, Medicaid/FQHC experience

• Knowledge of medical billing systems: patient/insurance financial management

• Detail-oriented with the ability to work with minimum/no supervision

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• 3-5 years in general/medical office administration, or a combination of experience and training that would be equivalent
