Job Responsibilities

• Submit dental insurance claims electronically and by mail.

• Review claims for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with payer requirements.

• Post insurance and patient payments accurately into the practice management system.

• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve denials or rejections.

• Prepare and send patient statements; manage patient billing inquiries with professionalism.

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to treatment.

• Work closely with front desk, dental assistants, and providers to ensure smooth billing operations.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1+ year experience in dental billing, dental office administration, or medical billing.

  • Knowledge of CDT codes, insurance claim submission, and dental terminology.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix, EagleSoft, or similar).

  • Bilingual – English and Spanish (required) to assist our diverse patient base.

• Preferred:

  • Experience handling PPO, and private-pay patients.

  • Familiarity with insurance portals and electronic claim clearinghouses.

  • Excellent communication skills and patient service mindset.
