Patient Registration at Robert Half

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Registration specialist on a contract basis. This role is based in New Haven, Connecticut, and offers an opportunity to work in both psychiatry and ambulatory departments. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing excellent patient-facing services while ensuring accurate administrative support.

Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist patients during their registration process, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with healthcare departments to maintain efficient workflows.
• Verify medical insurance details and ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes.
• Utilize Epic software for patient scheduling and record management.
• Provide support to both psychiatry and ambulatory departments, adapting to daily operational needs.
• Address patient inquiries and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Participate in mandatory Epic training sessions to acquire necessary system knowledge.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to streamline administrative processes and improve patient care.
• Monitor and update patient records to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Previous experience in a medical office or administrative role, preferably in healthcare.
• Familiarity with patient registration and scheduling processes.
• Knowledge of medical insurance verification and billing procedures.
• Experience using Epic software is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
