We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Patient Registration Specialist to join our team in Rochester, Michigan. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong customer service skills and a passion for healthcare support. The role involves assisting patients with their registration process, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and providing guidance as needed. Must be willing to work a flexible scheduling including weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately register patients in various settings, including the emergency room, inpatient, and outpatient departments.

• Assist patients with navigating technology and provide clear instructions when necessary.

• Perform data entry with precision to maintain accurate patient records.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless registration process.

• Handle patient scheduling and provide support in managing appointments.

• Verify medical insurance information and address any discrepancies.

• Adapt to rotating shifts, including afternoon and midnight rotations, after completing initial training.

• Comply with health and safety requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, flu shot, and occupational health screenings.

• Provide additional assistance within the department as required.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, with healthcare experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a patient-focused approach.
• Strong and accurate data-entry abilities.
• Reliable and punctual with a commitment to fulfilling responsibilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including late shifts and rotations.
