Pediatric Neurologist - Clinical Ast / Aso / Professor Job No: 534940 Work Type: Full Time Location: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL) Categories: Medicine/Physicians Department: 29091800 - MD-PEDS-NEUROLOGY Job Description Classification Title: Pediatric Neurologist - Clinical Ast / Aso / Professor Job Description: The University of Florida Health (UF Health) Pediatric Neurology division is seeking a board-certified/ board-eligible Pediatric Neurologist with specialized training and expertise in movement disorders. This faculty position offers an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in clinical care, research, and education in pediatric movement disorders. This is a non-tenure accruing position. Rank will be assigned based on qualifications and experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive clinical care to pediatric patients with movement disorders, including dystonia, chorea, ataxia, tremors, tics, and other hyperkinetic or hypokinetic disorders. Develop and lead specialized movement disorder clinics and programs, including those involving deep brain stimulation (DBS), botulinum toxin injections, and other advanced therapies. Collaborate with neurosurgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, genetics, and other specialties to provide multidisciplinary care. Engage in clinical research, including investigator-initiated and collaborative studies in movement disorders. Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows within the Department of Pediatrics and Neurology. Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and community outreach efforts. Maintain an active role in professional organizations related to movement disorders and pediatric neurology.
