Pediatric Pulmonary Physician – Clinical Faculty Rush University Medical Center Chicago, IL The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Pulmonology Physician to join their faculty at Rush’s downtown campus in Chicago, IL. The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at Rush provides comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents with pulmonary disorders at Rush University Medical Center and Rush Copley Medical center in Aurora, IL. The Section has a bronchoscopy service and a state-of-the-art pediatric pulmonary function lab with facilities for exercise challenge, plethysmography and impulse oscillometry This dynamic role offers the opportunity to expand patient access to expert pulmonary care throughout the Chicagoland region, offering advanced care for complex asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, congenital lung diseases, neuromuscular disorders and cystic fibrosis. Position Details Provide direct patient care for complex respiratory conditions in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonology settings Supervise and mentor medical students and residents in pulmonary medicine Demonstrate strong commitment to exceptional patient care, student and resident education, and advancing clinical medicine in pediatric pulmonology Substantial opportunities for research support and collaborations with multiple service lines available Eligible for faculty appointment at Rush Medical College at the level commensurate with experience and accomplishments Perfect opportunity for ambitious physicians ready to make their mark and build something extraordinary in pediatric pulmonology Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required Eligible to be licensed to practice Medicine in the state of Illinois required Completion of an accredited Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship program Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology Willing and able to travel between clinical locations to serve our growing patient population The Rush University Children's Hospital (RUCH) is part of the Rush University Medical Center (RUMC). It is an academic medical center that has 110 pediatric beds. RUMC is a 671-bed hospital serving adults and children in downtown Chicago, Illinois. It includes the 58- adult bed Johnston R. Bowman Health Center, Rush University and Rush Health. Rush University is home to one of the first medical colleges in the Midwest and one of the nation’s top-ranked nursing colleges, as well as graduate programs in allied health, health systems management and biomedical research. The Medical Center also offers more than 70 highly selective residency and fellowship programs in medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. It has excellent residents. The Categorical Pediatrics and Medicine/Pediatrics residency programs have had a 99% pass rate on the General Pediatrics Certifying Examination offered by the American Board of Pediatrics in the past 4 years. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
