Job Description*Job Title:* Personal Injury Trial Attorney*Salary Grade:* $200,000+*Type:* Exempt*Department:* Litigation*Reports to:* Principal*Work Modality:* Onsite FulltimeJob Summary*We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join our litigation team. This individual will be responsible for managing a full caseload of personal injury matters from inception through trial. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in litigation, excellent courtroom skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of injured clients. This role is best suited for a confident, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and can work both independently and collaboratively with a legal team.*Core Responsibilities* Manage a full caseload of personal injury matters, specifically motor vehicle accidents and products liability cases.* Develop case strategy and find plausible solutions to legal matters.* Attend hearings, depositions, and other court appearances.* Stay informed about any current legislation.* Building trustworthy relationships with clients and experts.* Handle all phases of litigation, from case evaluation and pre-suit strategy to discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial.* Prepare and argue motions, attend court hearings, and advocate in mediation or arbitration.* Lead trial preparation and serve as first or second chair at trial.* Collaborate with paralegals, investigators, and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.Minimum Requirements*Education/Certifications ** Bachelor's degree in law-related field required.* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.* Active bar license to practice law in California.*Experience** 10 years of litigation experience with an emphasis on personal injury cases.* Experience with high volume mediations and settlements.* Trial experience (first or second chair) strongly preferred.* Exceptional oral advocacy, negotiation, and writing skills.* Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.* Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently and effectively.* Client-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Experience conducting mediations, arbitrations, or settlement conferences.* Plaintiff-side trial experience is a plus.Core Competencies* Willingness to meet personally with clients.* Ability to handle a high caseload.* Experience or expertise in a specific branch of law.* Commitment to abiding by the set laws and behaving ethically.* Excellent interpersonal skills.* Strong critical thinking skills.* Excellent public speaking skills.* Adaptability and attention to detail.* Ability to work on a case independently.* Ability to work with a team of attorneys to develop strategies for a case.* Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $200,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceApplication Question(s):* Will you now or in the future require any form of sponsorship?* Are you comfortable commuting to Costa Mesa, CA Monday - Friday?* How many years of personal injury litigation do you have?* How many years of 1st or 2nd chair trial experience do you have?* What is your desired compensation?Work Location: In person
