Support timely patient access to critical medications by leveraging your expertise in benefit verification, prior authorization, and medical insurance—serving providers and specialty pharmacy teams across the DFW healthcare setting. LOCATION & BENEFIT: Remote – Must live in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE: · $18-20/hr. · Monday - Friday | availability for an 8-hour shift between 8am - 8pm EST or 7am – 7pm CST ROLE IMPACT The Pharmacy Reimbursement Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring patients receive timely access to medications and treatments by coordinating benefit investigations and prior authorization processes. This role directly supports providers and patients, serving as a vital link between payors, pharmacy partners, and internal teams to streamline care delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct insurance benefit investigations and document all interactions in the proprietary system • Facilitate completion and submission of prior authorizations and insurance forms for providers and patients • Respond to provider inquiries and triage calls, escalating as needed • Maintain regular communication with provider reps, payors, and pharmacies to resolve issues and ensure approvals • Track prior authorization status and flag delays or issues to supervisors MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or GED required • 1+ years’ experience in specialty pharmacy, medical insurance, or healthcare setting • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Familiarity with commercial and government payors, pharmacy, and medical benefits CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS • Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word PREFERRED SKILLS • Experience in benefit verification or prior authorization • Background in a high-volume call center or reimbursement hub By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from CornerStone and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
