Order Entry Pharmacy Technician – $21/hr (Immediate Openings!) Position Overview We are urgently seeking Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in Des Plaines, IL. Candidates with Long-Term Care pharmacy and/or pharmacy order entry experience are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a contract position with potential for conversion based on business needs and performance. Pay & Schedule Pay: $21/hour Shift Options: Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Overnight Shift (7 on / 7 off): 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM start time Please list your shift preference on your resume when applying. Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently enter physician orders into the pharmacy computer system Access, input, and update patient profiles, including medications and allergies Maintain and process medical records Verify accuracy and completeness of physician orders Communicate effectively with facility nurses to clarify or obtain missing information Process new and refill prescription requests based on delivery schedules Support overall pharmacy workflow and operations Submit prescriptions for third-party payment processing Assist in training new team members as needed Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills & Knowledge Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and pharmacy software systems) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and confidentially Team-oriented with a positive, flexible attitude Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience Pharmacy order entry experience preferred Active Pharmacy Technician License (Certified or grandfathered) LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy experience strongly preferred Why Join Polaris Pharmacy Services?
