SSM Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Community Description: About SSM Health: SSM Health Dean Medical Group Orthopedics West Madison is actively recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedic Surgery Hand and Upper Extremity department. The department consists of 3 physicians and 3 Aps. Primary responsibilities will include outpatient clinic and surgical assisting. Opportunity Highlights: Weekly schedule will be Four (4) days per week with variable hours; details to be determined based on department needs. Call including weekdays and weekends rotated with orthopedic group approx. 1:16. Position is 75% clinic-based with about 25% of OR responsibilities. Opportunity to work independently alongside the Hand Surgeons. Potential for some outreach days. Hospital privileges at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Requirements: Master's degree in physician assistant with PA-C. Experience in Orthopedic Surgery post education or Orthopedic Surgery clinical rotations. Prefer first-assist OR experience. Wisconsin PA license and Wisconsin DEA.
