Job Title:Physician – Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neuroendocrine (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department: The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek Neuroendocrine Oncologist to join the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview Physician specializing in Neuroendocrine to serve as a member of the Division of Medical Oncology, within the Department of Internal Medicine; directs and provides direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings; conducts ambulatory clinics; interviews, obtains and reviews medical history of patients; performs physical examinations to assess medical or surgical needs; performs relevant oncology procedures; orders special procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services; responds to consultation requests; determines, prescribes and implements treatment plans and/or medications required; documents all services and instructions provided in medical record; educates patients and promotes wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials, resources and services to patient and their families; directs and participates in quality assessment and improvement activities; serves as preceptor and provides bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate ensures continuing medical education requirements are met; participates in department, college, medical center and university committees and other service activities. Department/Division Overview The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute expanded in December 2014 to become the 3rd largest cancer hospital in the U.S. The extraordinary success of this new 398 -bed state-of-the-art hospital has resulted in remarkable clinical growth and has created several opportunities for medical oncologists across the spectrum of solid tumor subspecialties. The Ohio State University is currently seeking oncology physicians at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor rank for a variety of roles in the areas of basic and translational research, education, and inpatient and outpatient care. High priority searches at this time are those who desire to focus their research and patient care in Neuroendocrine.
