Physician Interventional Cardiologist opportunity in beautiful Tucson, Arizona Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) in scenic - sunny Tucson, Arizona is currently looking for a full-time Interventional Cardiologist. Position Information: The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVACHS) is seeking to add a full-time interventional cardiologist to our Cardiology Division. Commitment to excellence in patient care and an interest in teaching are essential. A record of contribution to scientific literature is preferred, as is a willingness to participate in clinical trials. Job Duties: Participate in quality improvement activities and comply with rules and regulations of the agency, facility, and department. Support a satisfactory process for supervision and training of fellows, residents and medical students from University of Arizona College of Medicine rotating through the Cardiology Division. Maintain American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification. A commitment to compliance with VA and SAVAHCS regulatory requirements Work Schedule: Full-time, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Requirements: United States Citizenship Non-US Citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified US Citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in all the US States Must be Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology by the ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine) Successful completion of Residency Training in the USA Benefits Information: In addition to the honor of serving America s Heroes, a career at VHA provides a robust total reward$ package (see full brochure here ) and offers many benefits including: Pay: $335,000 - $375,000 per year with annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): maybe approved for a highly qualified candidate Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement). Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (Board certification required). Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided. Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Financial Disclosure Report: Not required.
