Pipefitter/Bolt-Up Mechanic $29-$33/HR $100/PD at Summit Skilled Solutions / MCM

Summit Skilled Solution is seeking experienced industrial Pipefitters/Bolt-Up Mechanics for natural gas compressor station projects all over the Eastern Pennsylvania area. These roles are essential to the installation and alignment of piping systems and mechanical components critical to safe and efficient facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with small bore, black carbon or galvanized pipe and threaded pipe
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Lay out, measure, cut, thread, and bolt pipe sections using hand and power tools.
• Align and install valves, supports, hangers, gaskets, and flanges per specifications.
• Assist in rigging and setting large mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, and skids.
• Work alongside welders and other trades to ensure proper fit-up and system integration.
• Test piping systems for leaks using pressure testing methods (hydro, pneumatic).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in accordance with company and OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in industrial pipefitting or bolt-up mechanical work, preferably in oil & gas
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, pipe threading, cutting, and rigging equipment.
• Strong understanding of pipe materials, connections, and system layout.
• Ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience working from detailed drawings and fabrication plans.
• OSHA 10 or PEC/Safeland card required
• Standard PPE including type 2 Fire Retardant clothing
• Must have reliable transportation and be available for work in Eastern PA

Compensation/Benefits

• $30-$33/hr for locals
• $29/hr and $100/day PD for travelers
