Job Title: Piping Designer
Job Location: West Monroe, LA
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and layout of piping systems in various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. The Piping Designer will work closely with engineers and other designers to produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design piping layouts using CAD/AutoCAD Plant 3D and CadWORX tools.
- Prepare piping isometrics and detailed fabrication drawings.
- Ability to design pipe rack layouts and skid/module layouts
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct field surveys and site visits to gather necessary data for design purposes.
- Utilize Navisworks for 3D modeling and clash detection to identify design issues before fabrication.
- Review and modify designs based on feedback from project stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation and ensure all design work is accurate and up to date.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a piping designer in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy Transition, Power, Pulp & Paper, or related industries.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, CadWORX, and Navisworks software.
- Strong understanding of piping design standards and codes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
