Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to lead field walk-downs and evaluations of piping systems, design equipment layouts, and develop piping work packages with Plant 3D.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead field evaluation and measurement/survey coordination of piping systems.
- Equipment layouts and piping system design.
- Design piping plans & elevations and 2D or 3D piping isometric & spool drawings.
- Interpret and apply client and industry standards and specifications.
- Quality Control of drawings produced by others.
- Coordinate with other disciplines.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Drive to develop business applications for emerging technologies.
- Lead in developing piping specialty item specification criteria.
- Mentoring less experienced designers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-year technical degree.
- 0-5 years of experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with 2D&3D design, Point Cloud integration, ASME B31.3 & B31.1, technical specifications of specialty items.
- Exposure to Navisworks, Bluebeam, and API Codes preferred.
- Management: Basic mentoring/small team technical oversight required.
- Other Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic estimating.
