Process Engineer, Sr

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our East Windsor, CT team!

As our Senior Process Engineer, you will work closely with all departments at our Thermal Spray Surface Technologies facility.

This is a hands-on role, where you are actively involved in creating and improving production processes.

Location: East Windsor, CT

Salary: $95,000-$115,000

Your Challenge
  • Lead process development initiatives from pilot trials through full-scale manufacturing, ensuring process scalability and repeatability.
  • Evaluate and improve existing processing methods, techniques, and automation strategies to support cost, quality, and performance targets.
  • Plan and execute projects involving the selection and implementation of new process technologies, concepts, and equipment.
  • Investigate complex manufacturing and customer issues, providing hands-on support and developing corrective actions to resolve root causes.
  • Interface with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve technical problems across the production lifecycle.
  • Conduct technical surveillance of process control systems, design concepts, and specification compliance to ensure continuous alignment with performance standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional efforts in process knowledge transfer and technical documentation.

What You Bring
  • Thermal spray or coating or special process experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience
  • 4-8 years of experience of progressive experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering with increasing technical responsibility and leadership.
  • Proven success in developing, scaling, and optimizing complex manufacturing processes in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering judgment and data-driven problem-solving to resolve technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing competing priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to mentoring, continuous improvement, and fostering a collaborative and quality-driven team culture.
