Product Support Advisor - General - LACE - GSC - US at Sysco

Job Description

Support the LACE Merchandising department to achieve company goals which includes but is not limited to category management, business plans with suppliers, assortment optimization, supplier development, Sysco brand strategy, product management, and local sales conversions. Responsible for managing and supporting the implementation of corporate category strategies and initiatives within the LACE region and the operating sites (OpSite). Supports operating sites sales staff with product assortment updates, informational inquiries and delivery of product cutting and training sessions Drive operating site required category initiatives and assortment in harmony with corporate requirements. Executes recommended assortment changes and support positive local supplier relationships. This role reports directly to the Director of International Merchandising (LACE).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute Category Management and other initiatives within assigned categories

  • Responsible for Category success and overall Support of LACE core suppliers

  • Manage and promote local assortment within assigned categories to achieve company goals

  • Provide input, support, and guidance to operation site Sales and Merchandising Specialists

  • Communicate with planners/suppliers/brokers/sales team/customer service

  • Drive results on focus categories and support promotional activities and selling events

  • Drive increased Sysco Brand sales

  • Conduct business plans with targeted suppliers

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions

Experience:

3+ years of experience in product or category management
