Job Description*CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN*Well established Long Island-based Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Firm, has an immediate opening for a highly qualified civil engineering technician to join our growing team. This person must have direct experience in land development design.*RESPONSIBILITIES:** Perform engineering calculations and design for each phase of a given Land Development project utilizing CADD and various computerized design packages.* Plan and anticipate the progress of a given project; maintain steady progress and avoid undue delays.* Generate proper and adequate documentation for all stages of a project, while communicating all aspects with team members, clients, and vendors to ensure maximum cohesion.* Generate a finished product in the form of a complete package of plans, specifications, application forms, documentation, etc., in accordance with the format and standards of the firm.* Work within budget and deadline constraints.* Possess a working knowledge of codes to prepare construction documents for contractors.* Communicate effectively between client and project team with minimal supervision.* Provide input into developing project budgets and scheduling for proposals.*QUALIFICATIONS:** 4-year degree in Engineering from an accredited university, with course work predominantly in the field of Civil Engineering.* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Civil Engineering design.* Must be capable of independent design including site layout, grading & drainage design.* Proficiency in preparing engineering computations.* Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.* Ability to identify tasks and define, evaluate, and implement solutions related to land development problems.* Strong written and verbal communication.Additional Compensation:* BonusesBenefit Conditions:* Waiting period may applySchedule:* Monday to FridayWork Remotely* NoJob Type: Full-timePay: From $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time offEducation:* Bachelor's (Required)Experience:* civil engineering: 4 years (Required)Work Location: In person
