Job Description
Title: Configuration Management Specialist (Project Engineer II) Location: Greenville, SC Duration: 12+ months Pay: $70/hour Per Diem: Yes Job Description: Project Engineer II is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing project engineering and project management tasks on construction and capital projects. This role supports coordinating design, technical disciplines, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements. This position is intended to build broader project management capability and may serve as the project engineer on small to medium-sized projects or a segment of a larger project. Responsibilities: Monitor project progress, prepare and maintain project documentation, and support issue identification and resolution Coordinate efforts among engineering disciplines, vendors, and licensors to deliver integrated and compliant designs Review and coordinate project staffing requirements with functional leads and subcontractors Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, plans, milestones, and reporting Support cost tracking, budgeting, effort-hour monitoring, and variance analysis against plans Assist in preparation and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages Support risk assessments, quality initiatives, safety expectations, and company performance standards Perform additional duties as assigned Basic Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or global equivalent) 10 years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent capability Ability to clearly communicate with internal teams, clients, vendors, contractors, and external stakeholders Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations, engineering practices, and industry standards Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities Ability to travel and work onsite as required Discipline-Specific Expectations: Participate in internal training and professional development programs Leverage organizational knowledge-sharing systems and best practices Engage with vendors and industry representatives to stay current on technology and market developments Preferred Qualifications: Six or more years of experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction (EPFC/CM) projects Experience supporting risk assessments and implementation of mitigation strategies Work experience on international projects or within diverse cultural environments Previous success in a project engineering role on medium or large capital projects Familiarity with company project management systems, workflows, and software tools Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain productive working relationships Flexible, proactive approach with strong analytical and problem-solving capability Proficient in standard office software and engineering-related digital tools Experience with earned value management, reporting, and progress measurement FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
