Job Description

Psychiatric Social Worker (ACSW/AMFT)

Are you passionate about making a real impact in the lives of adults living with severe and persistent mental health challenges? We’re looking for dedicated Associate Clinicians (ACSW/AMFT) to join our field-based team. This is a unique opportunity to build deep clinical experience while working with a collaborative care team to support one of the most underserved populations in Los Angeles County.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual therapy (majority of the role) to adults ages 18–64 experiencing serious mental health conditions including psychosis, schizophrenia, and co-occurring substance use.
  • Meet clients where they are — in homes, transitional housing, or community settings (no encampment outreach).
  • Support crisis intervention, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team (social workers, case managers, psychiatrists, and more) to provide coordinated, holistic services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute toward a weekly quota of 35 billable service hours, including therapy, case management, and consultations.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Career Growth: Working in this field builds the skillset and confidence to succeed in nearly any future clinical role.
  • Team Culture: Be part of a highly collaborative group that supports each other as much as it supports clients.
  • Impactful Work: Deliver intensive services that truly change lives for some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community.
  • Stability: Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology.
  • Active California BBS registration (ACSW or AMFT required; license eligible encouraged).
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (field-based travel required).
  • Passion for working with adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Bonus: Bilingual in Spanish.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $30–$35/hr DOE
  • Business casual work environment.
  • Comprehensive training, supervision by an LCSW, and ongoing professional development.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 30-minute lunch break
  • No weekends or evenings

We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO), Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers (ULAC), The San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO), and the California Fair Chance Act (CFCA).
