Primary Duties:
Serves as the intake coordinator, conducting outpatient diagnostic intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and adult.Meets weekly with the integrated behavioral health team to review diagnostic findings, treatment planning, and care management for patients and families.Reports on various aspects of behavioral health care.
Providesculturally informed outpatient psychotherapy treatment for children, adolescents, adults, parents, and caregivers as part of an integrated behavioral health team; treatment to include individual, couples, family, and group-based treatments.Common presenting areas include depression disorders, anxiety disorders,attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD),stress-related disorders, substance use disorders, and chronic disease-related behavioral health concerns.
Coordinates care for patients and families receiving evaluation and/or treatment in the outpatient program; includes referral for treatment withinand outside ofthe Family Medicine integrated behavioral health team.Coordination of care with schools and other educators as needed.
Providesoutpatient psychotherapy treatment for women receiving prenatal and postnatal care as part of the integrated behavioral health team.
Participates in Department of Family Medicine academic programming including case conferences, grand rounds, clinical trainings, faculty, resident, and staff meetings, and faculty, resident, and staff retreats.
Qualifications:
Masters degree:Clinical Social Work, Professional Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from a nationally accredited graduate program.
Completion of clinical internship and supervised clinical hours sufficient for licensure in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
3-4years' Experienceworking with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Active licensure in Clinical Social Work, Professional Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or MarriageandFamily Therapy in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
