Job Description:

PT - Reception will be in charge of giving clients directions to various parts of the office, contacting employees regrading visitors, answering phones and taking messages, and sorting and distributing mail.


Hours are 12-4:30, Thursday and Fridays; other days/times may be available as needed to cover holidays, vacation and other staffing needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
  • Assist clients with finding their way around the office
  • Announce clients as necessary
  • Help maintain workplace security by maintaining visitor logs
  • Answer phone calls in a professional manner and route calls when needed
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Assist Utility Billing Clerk and Cashier with water payments
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Scan all City Journal Entries
  • Scan all City Credit Card Statements
  • Provide any additional duties as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prior Experience as a receptionist or in related field.

Skills required:

    • Excellent communication and customer service
    • Consistent, professional dress and manner
    • Good time management
    • Ability to contribute positively as a part of a team, helping with various task as required
