We are looking for a QA Technician I to join our team in Reno, NV. Reporting to the QA Manager, the QA Technician I will Assist with tasks related to quality of finished products, raw ingredients and packaging materials. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety practices are followed.
Essential Duties:
Collect measurements, test and report results on various components to ensure they fall within specification ranges.
Ensure that sandwiches are being built to specification.
Conduct in line audits/product assessments for specification compliance on food products.
Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues, and document corrective actions.
Ensure GMPs are being followed.
Assess facility for sanitary compliance.
Collect weights and measurements of finished good products.
Ensure package integrity and accuracy.
Other duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
High School Diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Requirements:
Ability to operate standard lab equipment.
Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Be detailed and organized.
Problem solving skills.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs),
Knowledge of Food Safety fundamentals is desirable.
The ability to read and understand specifications and other technical documents.
Strong attention to detail; data and sample collection, accuracy in paperwork.
Ability to use a tablet/iPad.
Ability to interact with all levels of organization.
This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required
on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
