Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) at New Hope Village
Job Description
The QIDP is responsible for the coordination and the on-going monitoring of the person-centered planning process for the individuals on his/her caseload. The QIDP serves as an advocate for individuals residing in the ICF/ID and as a liaison for the individuals, their families with external funding agencies.
Education and Experience
Education:
Required: Bachelors Degree in a related field such as human services field (including, but not limited to, sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology), developmental disabilities, or can be a doctor of medicine or osteopathy, or a registered nurse to meet qualification as a QIDP.
Preferred: Same as required.
Experience:
Required: At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or other disabilities.
Preferred: Experience as a QIDP or providing comparable case management in a related field.
