The role you'll contribute:
The Quality and Accreditation Manager works collaboratively with all department leaders to ensure continuous readiness and compliance with all accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies, across the organization. This includes Joint Commission standards and CMS Conditions of Participation.
The value you'll bring to the team:
- Responsible for investigating reports of serious events involving actual or potential injury to patients or visitors to assess liability and probability of legal action.
- This position conducts proactive and reactive safety analyses, including root cause analysis and failure mode and effect analysis to develop a process and plan for change that can be constantly monitored and evaluated for effectiveness.
- Additionally, this role works collaboratively with all department leaders to ensure continuous readiness and compliance with all accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies across the organization.
- In addition, this position ensures adherence to Joint Commission standards and CMS Conditions of Participation. Contributes to the overall improvement of patient safety and regulatory compliance within the organization.
Qualifications
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:
- Masters of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Policy, or a related field Required
- 3 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: patient care, public policy, health care administration, business administration, quality improvement, safety systems, legal support or insurance claims investigation and settlement required Preferred:
- 3 years of healthcare accreditation or risk management experience Preferred
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) Preferred
- Strong Microsoft excel skills
