Quality Control Administrator at Elgen Staffing

Our client, a nationwide healthy snack manufacturer and distributor, has an immediate need for an experienced Quality Control Administrator, to join our winning team in Hackettstown. Our candidate of choice will be responsible for supporting the Quality and Production teams by maintaining documentation, monitoring records, and assisting with daily quality control and compliance activities. You will ensure that all records — including temperature logs, batch sheets, sanitation reports, and calibration logs — are complete, accurate, and audit-ready. You will also assist with incoming material checks, in-process quality monitoring, and data entry into quality management systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure all records meet regulatory and company standards. Collect and review batch sheets, temperature logs, sanitation records, and metal detector logs. Verify completion, accuracy, and proper sign-offs daily. File and archive physical and digital records in accordance with document retention policies. Support traceability and recall exercises by organizing historical records. Maintain consistent product quality and compliance. Assist QC Technicians in performing visual, sensory, and weight checks. Record and log test results accurately. Notify supervisors of any deviations or non-conformances. Help ensure in-process testing is conducted on time and documented. Support audit readiness and site cleanliness. Perform daily GMP and housekeeping checks on production floors. Document corrective actions and follow up with production teams. Support QA and sanitation teams in maintaining compliance records. Help prepare for internal, customer, and third-party audits. Ensure traceability and supplier compliance. Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for incoming raw materials. Record lot codes and supplier data for each delivery. Coordinate with Receiving to ensure all materials meet specifications before release. Maintain up-to-date and accurate quality data systems. Enter production and quality data into spreadsheets or QA software. Generate reports for management and audits as needed. Track trends in product quality, rejections, and deviations. Build a culture of quality and accuracy. Assist in onboarding and GMP training for new hires. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality documentation. Help standardize and update forms, checklists, and SOPs. KEY REQUIREMENTS: 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality administration preferred Strong knowledge of GMP and basic food safety principles Familiarity with HACCP, FSMA, or FDA food manufacturing regulations Experience supporting audits or maintaining QA documentation systems Interest in health, wellness, or real-ingredient food production Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint) and basic data entry Excellent organizational and documentation skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move between production and office environments Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines English required; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred Live within 45 minutes of Hackettstown, NJ WE OFFER: Above-market base compensation Performance Bonus Health insurance A health and wellness-focused culture All the chips you can eat!
