Job Description
My Client-Encore Precast designs and manufactures precast and prestressed concrete products, ranging from catch basins to bridges, and almost everything in between. They are a family-owned company that has a heart for its people and for growth. Encore is currently seeking a hardworking and motivated Quality Control Technician to join our team. Functions: -Test and document fresh concrete in accordance with industry standards. -Test and document hardened concrete in accordance with industry standards. -Monitor quality of, and test conformance to, standards of incoming raw materials. -Learn the operations of the batch plant and batching system Required Skills/Abilities: -Solid math skills -Solid understanding of plant practices and quality control procedures -Ability to diagnose and remedy concrete strength or consistency problems -Strong problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and communication skills -Good attendance and a positive attitude are a must -All QC personnel must be team players, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment -Maintain clear and precise records according to internal program testing of concrete to ensure concrete meets project specifications -Perform concrete and aggregate testing is required -Other duties as assigned by the Manager Education and Experience: -High School Diploma or GED -Three to five years of experience in a related field is preferred but not required Physical Requirements: -Be able to stand for extended periods of time . -Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Job Type: Full-time (7 am- 5 pm). Due to the nature of the business, overtime will be occurent. Ability to commute/relocate: -Dayton, OH: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required) License/Certification: -ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician-Grade I (Required) -ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician (Required) -ACI Self-Consolidating Concrete Testing Technician (Preferred, can obtain after employment) -NPCA PQS I (Preferred, can obtain after employment) -PCI Level 1 and 2 (Preferred, can obtain after employment) Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
